In Week 7, the Netball Academy entered six teams into the Gold Coast Indoor Netball Competition.
Spanning across two days, it was inspiring to see the determination and heart our players consistently bring.
The fast-paced, dynamic indoor games provided a thrilling change of pace for the girls, who thoroughly enjoyed this style of netball.
Finalists
- Year 9/10 Mixed: Reached the Grand Final, narrowly losing by just one point (18 – 19) in a nail-biting match that had the entire squad cheering.
- Year 9 Ladies in the Year 9/10 Ladies Competition: Semi-finalists, finishing 3rd out of 7 teams. The put up a strong fight in their last match, ending with a score of 20 – 28.
- Year 8 in the Year 7/8 Ladies Competition: Semi-finalists, finishing 3rd out of 11 teams, giving their all in a final game that ended 11 – 17.
Other Results
- Year 9 Development in the Year 9/10 Ladies Competition: Focused on building their Indoor Netball skills with a new focus for future competitions.
- Year 7 in the Year 7/8 Ladies Competition: Faced a tough first day with losses but bounced back on day two with all wins!
- Year 7 Development in the Year 7/8 Ladies Competition: Though new to Indoor Netball, they had fun experimenting with various positions, crucial for their development in the game.
