Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that your child has had a productive Term 4 and a successful year here at Pimpama State Secondary College.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us in their education.
I have thoroughly enjoyed our end of year events as we have celebrated academic, sporting, and cultural excellence and have farewelled our Year 12s.
Week 10 & 11 This Term
Week 9 saw the end of assessment and exams for our 7-9 cohorts.
Students also had lots of fun with our Future Year 7 Transition Day and Summer Splash on Monday.
From Tuesday onwards, students have been engaged in an alternate program which focuses on student engagement, cultural, and wellbeing activities.
School will officially conclude on Friday 13 December. 🎉
2025 Dress Code Updates
I am assured that we continue to have full supply of our uniforms in the new school year.
We have made a few updates to the College Dress Code for 2025.
Day (formal) Uniform is to be worn BY ALL students on Mondays.
This is the day our assemblies occur and this change will help us to ensure all students have access to a formal uniform in case of events and excursions.
Please familiarise yourself with the following changes;
Changes to Jewellery and Hair Policy:
- Students will now be permitted to wear two pairs of plain studs or sleepers worn in their ear lobes.
- Plastic alternatives for facial or body piercings are permitted.
- Long hair will no longer be required to be tied back at all times, but is still recommended to be tied back when in workshops, kitchens, and sporting activities.
Changes to Shoe Policy
- Students will now be required to wear black shoes with BOTH the Formal and Sport uniforms.
- This will allow families to purchase one pair of black lace up joggers or cross-trainers rather than two pairs of shoes if they wish.
- Students who wish to change into specialised sports shoes for EAD may continue to do so.
- Some examples of appropriate shoes are below.

2025 Start Up Arrangements
School commences on Tuesday 28 January for Years 7, 9, and 11.
All cohorts are expected to be in attendance on Wednesday 29 January.
Year levels will begin their first day with assemblies – locations will be notified in the new year.
Students should be in full school uniform.
At Pimpama State Secondary College, we strongly believe that Together We Succeed and we value continuing to partner with our families for the learning and wellbeing of our students.
Please contact us if you have any questions and please contact your Sub-school Dean if your child needs support.
I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season and I look forward to the 2025 school year.
Kind regards,
Megan Roderick
